If you can’t access an article of mine, or if you are a student and would like help with pre-modern intellectual history, please email me at: dmitri [dot] levitin [at] all-souls.ox.ac.uk. I am spending the academic year 2025–26 at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.

I will try to get back to you as quickly as possible, but modern universities are administrative tyrannies, so – like everyone else – I am permanently behind on my emails. Please bear with me.

The photograph on the right is me in front of Raphael’s School of Athens, in the Stanze di Raffaello in the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. A fair portion of my work has been on early modern conceptions of ancient philosophy, before philosophy was considered a purely Greek invention or ‘Western’ possession. Raphael’s fresco includes Zoroaster (out of the picture).
